Mi 11 lite is another mid-range smartphone from Xiaomi which is released on 22 June, 2021 in the Indian markets.
BUILD QUALITY
Mi 11 lite has the dimensions of 160.5 mm x 75.7 mm x 6.8 mm. The phone is 6.8 mm thin which is till now the thinnest phone in the smartphone market. Xiaomi did not cut the corners in this phone as it has IP-53 splash and dust resistance protection.
Mi 11 lite lacks the all time favourite 3.5 mm headphone jack and has the Hybrid sim card (nano) slot.
The phone weighs 156g and the phone feels seriously light, tall and sturdy in hand, though it has got a Glass Back with matte finish design.
DISPLAY
The Mi 11 lite comes with a 6.55-inches AMOLED display with 10-bit colour options. It has HDR10 support and 90 Hz fast refresh rate. The display is great for outdoors as it has 800 nits peak brightness.
The Display looks quite impressive as it has 85.4% screen to body ratio and the display also has the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

SPECIFICATION
Mi 11 lite is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G octa-core processor, which is based on 8nm fabrication process technology and Adreno 618 GPU.
There are 2 variants available of this phone in the market 6/8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of ROM.
Mi 11 Lite has LPDDR4X RAM type and UFS 2.2 storage type.
PERFORMANCE
Snapdragon 732G is very capable budget midrange smartphone. It performs great in day-to-day task such as scrolling through feeds and much more. The 90Hz fast refresh rate makes the experience even much better.
The gameplay experience with this smartphone is amazing as no frame-drops occurred while playing heavy games like COD mobile and BGMI in the high graphics settings.
Mi 11 Lite also has liquid cooling support which keeps the phone cool during gameplay. Though the camera module gets a little warmer during heavy gameplay but that is not a great issue.
Mi 11 lite gives an AnTuTu score of 2,95,422 which is quite decent score.
CAMERA
It has a functional triple camera setup.
- 64 MP Primary (wide) camera with PDAF.
- 8 MP Ultra-wide angle lens with 119-degrees of FOV.
- 5 MP TeleMacro lens with AF.
The camera has some good features like Dual LED flash, HDR, Panaroma and Gyro-EIS.
Rear camera can record videos at 4K@30 fps and 1080p@60 fps.
It has a 16 MP selfie shooter with features like HDR and Panaroma.
The front camera can record videos at 1080p@30 fps.
IMAGE QUALITY
The images taken from the primary camera are a bit over-sharpened in some areas. The dynamic range is quite decent and the HDR performs a really good job. The contrast and white balance is quite accurate. The colours are slightly saturated and has the warmer tones.
The Ultra-wide angle lens performs good task. The images are soft with a good contrast ratio. The details are not that great and sometimes the photos lack details in some areas.
The Macro lens also performs decent work. The subject in the photos are well optimised and has decent amount of sharpness and details. The colours look vivid in the images.
The Portrait shots look good in normal light conditions. The contrast ratio between subject and background is well balanced and also the images have good amount of details.
The low-light (Night-time) photos are not all that great. Images lack details and look darker. The camera needs a huge improvement in this segment.
Images from the selfie camera performs decent task by clicking some really good photos. The images have good amount of details and sharpness with accurate contrast ratio.
VIDEO QUALITY
Videos are not all that great from both the primary and the Ultra-wide camera. The colours and details are decent but the videos are not stabilized at high fps.
Overall, the videos at high fps needs are not stabilized and needs an improvement.

VERDICT
Mi 11 lite's base variant (6+128) GB cost Rs.21,999 and the phone also packs a powerful processor with a 4250 mAh battery. The phone is very light as it weighs just 157g and it is 6.8mm thin.
Mi 11 lite requires an improvement in the camera segment. The camera performs decent task but not that great. We hope some software updates would slightly improve the post processing in the images.
Overall the Mi 11 lite is seriously lite and loaded smartphone, and if your budget is around Rs.25,000, then you can definitely check this out.
